During the months of May & June, our club was privileged to hear from:
Steve Ramsey, Music Director & Conductor of the Dakota Valley Symphony and Chorus
Bryan Donaldson, Exec Director of the Boys and Girls Club of MN
Tom Neumann from Beyond The Yellow Ribbon Rosemount
Joseph Berninger, Founder, Guatemala Literacy Project

We learned so much from each of these organizations.
*  our very own, Peggy Sherman, is a board member for Dakota Valley Symphony, plays violin and is their legal advisor.
*  the Dakota Valley Symphony & Chorus is back and will be performing at the Ames Center....for their 21-22 schedule, visit www.dakotavalleysymphony.org
*  founded in 1860 as "The Boys Club", it has grown to 4500+ locations nationwide.  The Boys & Girls Club of MN has 12 member associations  that form the Minnesota Alliance.  Their mission is "whatever it takes to give every kid a chance".  The average cost of care at a MN Club for one child, per year is $396.  To learn more, visit www.bgcminnesota.org
*  we learned from Tom how Beyond The Yellow Ribbon supports deployed troops and the families left behind.  Tom is a major organizer of their annual Golf event at Cannon Golf Club.  Visit www.rosemountbtyr.org to learn when and where they meet and how you can help.
*  the Guatamala Literacy Project is supported by 600+ Rotary Clubs from 8 different countries.  It has benefited 225,500 students through 207 textbook projects, 53 computer centers,  & 94 reading programs.  Their mission is to bridge the gap with education.  Visit www.guatemalaliteracy.org
