Rosemount Rotary typically does not meet on the second Friday of the month. While many Rotary clubs meet each week of the year, Rosemount Rotary substitutes regular service opportunities and events in place of noon meetings on the second Friday of the month. Our service events include gift purchasing and wrapping for a family at Christmas, mentoring students at RHS, providing a full day Ethics Program to over 40 students at RHS, supporting local food shelves, park cleanup as part of Rosemount's Leprechaun Days events, participation in the Leprechaun Days Parade, funding and serving at the annual Night to Unite event for kids and families at the 360 Communities Rosemount Family Resource Center, and our organizing our famous Irish For a Day Soiree fundraiser event. |

Jul. 29, 2017 10:15 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
These are the details about the parade on Saturday, July 29 so can plan accordingly. Our line-up number is 028. We will plan to walk and toss swag that Mike has ordered for us, as well as non-melting candy. :) There is a new parade route. Instead of starting at the high school this year, the parade will basically go West to East along 145th Street West in a straight line that starts around Diamond Path and ends at Cameo Avenue (which runs behind The Rosemount). Small units (like ours) must be in place by 10:00 a.m. so please arrive by 10:15 a.m. or so, just to allow sufficient time if you didn’t carpool and need to walk from your car. I’ll try to have the car there by 9:30 a.m. The parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. so bring water and sunscreen (because there will be some waiting around time). Drop-Off Parade participants should be dropped off at the First Baptist Church parking lot and then find line-up number 28. Carpooling is strongly encouraged because there is no parking at the church, but there will be a shuttle going between the end of the parade route back to the church (before the parade), so if you want to take advantage of that, park at one of the three end of route parking locations. Pick-Up/Parking Pickup/parking is available at the end of the parade route at the following locations: 1. Middle/Elementary School Parking Lot, 2. The Well Methodist Church, and 3. The High School. It would be best to park close to the end of the parade route by picking one of these three lots. |

Jul. 29, 2017 8:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.
We will gather at the beer garden to enjoy the festivities before we help the Leprechaun Days Committee with the task of cleaning up after the evening concert. We will pick up trash from the field and will retrieve garbage cans and recycling bins from around the area, bringing them to a central location so they can be emptied. The actual work is pretty straightforward and goes quickly because we join with the committee members and other volunteers to get the job done. Many hands make light work. See you there! |

Aug. 01, 2017 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
This is one of the events where we have the opportunity to really serve our community. We'll pull together Jimmy John's subs, sides from Sam's Club and a Kids DJ to mix it up and top it all off! This is always a great event for the kids and families who are able to attend. There may even be a fire truck stopping by. Please make plans to serve at this great event. |
